« on: July 01, 2012, 10:00:26 PM »
been playing in the shed lately and churned out 8 stackable plastic welded screens from 4 mesh to 150, my stars have suddenly become perfect now :) 4 kilo's of ralphs glitter later, I have some stars for 6's nd 8's and enough coloured cores to last the year. contemplating processing 8L of barium chloride/chlorate solution from my cell. taking pictures along the way everything im doing and will eventually make some tutorials.

Spent the arvo in the shed rolling stars with the new roller. using a 12v DC speed controller allows me more control of my rolling speed depending on star size. Actually rolling round stars now! Better yet rolled my old blackberry stars round with yellow glitter comp for effect changing stars.
the roller bowl was smooth stainless, after a little help from the angle grinder my stars roll and don't slide against the sides now

I've sent of like $100 to passfire over the years and i honestly don't think i've seen more than one lot of new article come out. has any one else noticed this? i don't really care cause the stuff on the formula data base and existing articles is awesome but still i'm pretty sure i was promised more when i signed up!

Print out the articles/formula you want and call it a day. It has become very inactivate.

Fireworking.com has replaced it. Ned is constantly putting new content onto the website and it has a very positive environment. I like reading there a lot. Worth every dollar imo and it's easily creating content so fast that it will match Passfire in no time.

In Kyle's (Passfire's) defense, he wasn't very clever with the subscription renewal for the main part of the site's life. It was something like $40 for 10 issues, and with the rate he would put them out people weren't needing to renew for years if at all until he changed it. That, and there was a bit of bitterness between members on the forum.

yeah i think i payed the second time with a false hope of 10 new issues appearing. I have always loved reading/watching Neds stuff, about time i give fireworking a go.
